These are quite common in CA now; started seeing them in early 2016. They look like giant snails.

What I do like is that they have proper amber rear turn signals, unlike the Model S.

Did you watch the doors go up and down? If I were loaded, I’d buy one just to watch that all day. Granted, I always pressed the button on the automatic side-doors on other minivans when they were new too.

This is probably not going to be the popular opinion, but I feel like these things look kinda cool when they are completely blacked out? Any other color brings out their weird proportions for me...but in black, they look kinda sinister.

Just stumbled onto this after reading the Shooting Brake vs wagon article, which made a lot of sense. Would this car above along with the Audi A7 and others not be appropriately called a fastback or liftback, meaning a hatchback with a hatch that is more horizontal than vertical? Or have those terms fallen into disuse? And not to revive an old argument, but what do people that are not MB enthusiasts call CLS/CLA’s? Sport wagons? If they are indeed shooting brakes, is the Audi Avant also a shooting brake? )I’m trying to find an Avant to buy, but my wife keeps asking why I want a station wagon. Sigh.....)

We have one at work, as I approached it from a distance my thought was, ‘wow, ugly’. My opinion didn’t change at all when I found ‘Tesla’.

Side note, had a chance to tour Jay Leno’s Big Dog garage yesterday. The shop manager/tour guide very quickly pointed out the special P90 in the corner that “is the quickest car in the fleet”, parked right next to several McLaren and Lambo’s. He used the term ‘ungodly fast’. Why? Insane? Ludicrous? Is there a next?
